Tea Classes

Tea classes are open to anyone who desires to learn about chado. Students will receive individual instruction in the presentation and aesthetics of tea, including how to prepare the tearoom and utensils.
Classes are 1 hour, taught Wednesdays, from 4:00 – 8:00, @SOMA, just a few blocks from SBC Park in San Francisco.

Mahoko Dahte teaches Chanoyu (tea ceremony) including tea sweets, and kaiseki cuisine and traditional tea gatherings called Chaji. She received her professional tea name Soho in 1995 and awarded the Junkyoju (Associate Professor) Degree from the Urasenke School in 1997.
